Choosing The Colours For Your Landscape Design

The first thing we recommend when choosing colours for your pavers in Ottawa is that you take a walk around your yard and neighbourhood.  Pull ideas from your neighbours and the colours that are natural to where you live.  Choose colours that will compliment the bricks on your home and accent the gardens you have and your personal style.  As a general rule of thumb we recommend that you should pick a colour that is a few shades lighter than the colour of your home.  It will serve as a focal point and define each.

Think about the application of the project.  Around the pool consider choosing lighter colours that keep bare feet and pets cool and comfortable in the hot Ottawa summer.  For a driveway, you might consider a darker or multi-coloured design that can better hide oil and dirt stains that might happen over the years.
