How To Choose The Best Paving Material

In Ottawa, there are 3 different kinds of pavers to choose from.  Those are concrete, natural stone and composite material. 

Companies like AZEK have recently entered the landscape renovation market by offering a tole-based interlock paving system that uses composite material.  The quality of these products ranges greatly and the price per square foot is comparable with concrete interlock pavers.  Concrete pavers are made in a factory and provide consumers with a very durable, well-constructed paver that can be produced at scale – greatly improving affordability. Most pavers from Unilock, Techo-Bloc and Permacon will be made from pre-cast concrete. Natural stones like sandstone, granite and limestone provide an exquisite design for a budget that matches!  Natural stones are high quality and beautiful but the high price point and less durability make them less popular in Ottawa.

Do Interlocking Stones Have Warranty?

Absolutely interlock comes with a warranty.  Since we deal mainly in Techo-Bloc paver material we are familiar with the value their products offer.  These pavers have proven to us that they are made by the latest standards to the highest quality.  This is evident by the thousands of bricks we have laid over the past 15 years!  All the pavers we install surpass the standards on the CSA & ASTM.

 Paving stones are protected from disintegration and structural failures for paving stones and retaining wall stones.  If you pavers experience abnormal deterioration then contact us for a warranty replacement. If a paver is defective then the manufacturer will replace the stone and cover the installation cost associated with the product.

 Defective pavers are a very rare and uncommon thing!  The latest technology is built to withstand punishment from de-icing salt (NaCl) which is impressive considering what salt does to… everything!
